SILVER BOWL WITH FRUIT

8 X 10 OIL ON CANVAS   SOLD
This fruit still life is another demo that I did for my oil and acrylic  workshop. Those blue strokes in the background photographed a little lighter than they are in the painting.  After numerous photos I gave up!

PEPPER PARTY WORKSHOP DEMO IN PROGRESS

11 X 14 OIL ON CANVAS
This oil painting is a 40 minute demo I did for my  still life workshop today.  I  wanted to emphasize the importance of  keeping the painting loose and designing the canvas,  concentrating on the big shapes.  I plan to carry it just a little further and hopefully not destroy the spontaneity.

POSY OF ZINNIAS WITH PEPPER

7 X 5 OIL ON PANEL SOLD
This miniature oil floral took more time to do than some of the larger ones.  Seems I am always thinking just a few more brush strokes to perfection.  One has to  remember that it also just a few more brush stokes to lose the freshness!

PURPLE BOAT AND FRIENDS

12 X 12 ON WOOD PANEL
Painting this oil  seascape of colorful boats kept me busy during tropical storm Lee.  I actually had a purple boat for a while but it has long  gone to boat heaven.
For those of you inquiring about painting workshops,   I have one starting Friday September 17th in Foley, Alabama.   I think there are still some openings.   Also, I added a new one In Fairhope, Alabama .  Look on the upper right side column of  my blog to see the dates.

A JAR

A JAR SOLD
5 x 7 OIL ON PANEL
I thought about naming this oil painting  "oh please don't can me" , but sanity prevailed. You got have some fun some how. Actually, this still life of colorful fruit and a clear glass canning jar was a lot of fun to do. I love painting the reflections on clear objects.
